Stella Norrby

​In Body Earth , I am exploring my relationship to my local landscape and heritage. I lived away for over 20 years, through this I carried with me a sense of longing a cutting of the ties (connections) of people and land,  a homesickness for the hills and secret, soothing, nurturing places of this land.  I came home 10 years ago to tend to a field, and plant a garden.  Through this I get to have a physical relationship with the landscape.

There is a sense of weaving together this landscape and me, in the practicalities of everyday working, through heritage there are deep roots to explore, to look at how this earth holds me, asking, what is this that ties me to this land, what is its substance, form, shape feel, thought.
